Mr. Per Fogstad retired as Managing Director at
the end of 1977. Mr. Fogstad was replaced by Mr. Øystein Bøe.
Inspektør Karl Otto Evensen døde plutselig den 9.
juli 1975 under et opphold i Oslo, vel 58 år gammel. Evensen ville neste år ha kunnet feire 30 års sammenhengende
tjeneste i A/S Thor Dahl idet han startet sin maskinistkarriere 14. juni 1946 ombord på MS THORNES. Senere var han maskinsjef
på MS PHILAE, MS THOR I, MS THORSHALL, MS THORSCAPE, MS THORSRIVER og MS THORSØY

Captain Oscar Lian retired at the beginning of 1978
at the age of 60. Captain Lian started sailing with the company in 1952.
Mr. Philip R. Gosling, President of Kerr Steamships
(Canada) Ltd., Montreal, General Agents for C.C.A.L, ended his career on the 30th. of April 1976.
He joined Kerr in 1951 as Line Manager for C.C.A.L. and later became top man of the Company. He was a good natured
and experienced shipping man with whom it was a pleasure to work.

On the 12th. June 1980, Captain John Sørensen
retired after a long sailing career with the Company. On the right, Owner of C.C.A.L. Lars Christensen and
on the left Director Øistein Bøe, both in Sandfjord.

Captain Olaf Niemann retired in 1978, after
18 years as owners representatives/port captain for CCAL in Montreal. He was replaced by Captain A. Gjevik.
Mr. Coos de Vries, Managing Director of Nedlloyd
Agencies (Pty) Ltd., Durban, General Agents for C.C.A.L., at his retirement and Royal decoration end 1981.
M.V. THORSCAPE, the first vessel to arrive
at the Port of Hamilton, Ontario in the 1979 navigational season. A reception was held on the vessel on
April 7th.

A new reefer facility was opened at shed 51,
Hochelaga Terminal, Port of Montreal on 16th May 1978. The shed was mainly built to receive/distribute fruit
from South Africa mostly carried by CCAL vessels.
